Hey guys! We're gearing up to do another showcase, and that means we're going to be playing some maps that you're already familiar with. We've split the event into two tests, as we haven't done one of these in a while and we have a pretty large volume of maps to get through.
The two events specifically are:
Tuesday, August 9th
7 PM (19:00) GMT
US Server (70.42.74.31:27015)
Mountainside, Shelter, Eros
Thursday, August 11th
7 PM (19:00) GMT
US Server (70.42.74.31:27015)
Occult, Abyss, Forge
Important things you should know about each event
1) If you are the author of a showcase candidate map being played in a test, we ask that you do not join the test. We don't want anyone to feel pressured to say how they feel about a map in particular. If you do so, you will be kicked, and it may significantly hurt your map's chances of entering the showcase.
2) Each test will be followed by an "impromptu," in that we will be testing maps from VBot's map queue until player counts die down. If the previous paragraph prevents you from joining a test, you may join when the impromptu portion of the event begins.
3) There are no submissions - this thread is just to let you know what's going on.
4) Each showcase candidate map will receive the default amount of playtime - CP and PL get 30 minutes, KOTH gets 20. Time will be extended at the end of the round as a feedback round.
