Trigger to light players on fire

    Hello,
    Is there any way to light people on fire if they enter a certain area?

    Look at trigger_hurts and set the damage type to "Fire"

    If I recall correctly, there is an "ignite" output for trigger_multiples now.

    That deals fire damage but doesn't actually light people on fire
    EDIT: It's actually BURN.
    Not on the wiki, also, can you elaborate on how I might use this?

    Your name. YM_Industries. You are not YM. YM worked on Coldfront, Hoodoo and Mann Manor. Whether it was your intention or not, you could be seen as trying to leech off of his success.

    Traditionally you can't set people on fire using environmental hazards, only deal direct fire damage.

    If meerkats suggestion works properly it should be something like OnStartTouch > ignite > !activator

    Ah, sorry. It is pure coincidence. I have noticed the YM in those levels, but I chose my username before I even played TF2. That is the problem with acronyms. I have also been confused with YouMe. (on ThinkingWithPortals)

    Awesome it works! I forgot about !activator and was wondering how to trigger it on the player.

    Thanks heaps. (It's actually an input on whatever entity the player is represented by.)

    That doesn't seem to be the case seeing as Icarus and YM have different names. Unless I missed something.

    Also YM and YouMe was kind of obvious.

    Reminds me of when a guy from HP Products (a local company that makes equipment for factories) talked about people calling them up thinking they were Hewlett-Packard. And when the call center people would correct them, they'd be like "...Can you fix my printer anyway?"

    Back on topic, I'd been wondering about this so I could add it to the "TF2/Creating fire" article on the developer wiki. When I get my next map to the point of being functional, I'll throw this in to test it.

    1) when you !ignite a player, water doesn't put them out (I'm pretty sure nothing does until they die)

    2) YM is in Coldfront because he made the moose head from Swamp
