    They're placeholders particles for when the game can't find the correct particles to use.

    Is this normal TF2, or SFM?

    Normal tf2 tr_walkway_rc2 map hmmm should i decompile and find that file?

    EDIT: i mean it only happens in this map.

    That's strange. Maybe the map is using a custom particles_manifest file that is bugging up your normal manifest file.

    The same problem happened in koth_crash a while back with mini-sentries. What causes the red things? Do they appear when you jump, or when you fire your shotgun?

    Try typing verify_all into the console. I think that's the command.

    Micnax, it wasn't Crash's map that had the problem, it was our server.

    I fixed it happening on hydro and dustbowl by deleting the particles folder in the TF2 folder and verifying the cache
