Time flies, folks. There's now only a month left until the last contract drops in the Tough Break Campaign. So if you haven't joined up by now, then you'd better find your most tear-absorbent pillow and start crying into it, because guess what? You're too late.

Except wait! You're not too late! In fact, you're just in time to buy a Campaign Pass for only $2.99!

Why join up now? Because for half the price, you'll still get access to all 26 contracts, and completing them earns you campaign-exclusive weapon and case drops from the Gentlemanne's, Harvest, Pyroland and Warbird Collections. (And don't worry, we'll be adding a few weeks to the end of the event to give everyone time to finish their contracts.)

Buying a Pass also gets you weekly Tough Break Cosmetic Case drops from the day you buy it until the end of the campaign. You'll also get an upgradable Contract Stamp that will keep track of your progress on active contracts, level up as you complete them, and show off your level to other players on the Scoreboard.

Still not convinced? Because a portion of all Campaign Pass sales goes to the community mapmakers featured in the campaign—in this case, the Snowycoast, Vanguard, Highpass and Landfall maps!

STILL still not convinced? Well, then, we don't know what to to tell you, because that was pretty much every arrow in our quiver. You are one tough-to-convince customer, my friend. For everyone else who was convinced, we'll see you in-game!

Note to self, never buy Contract Pass on Day 1 of update.

Since you post on TF2 maps maybe you should buy them to support the community map makers who make the maps in the updates. The contracts are a secondary thing for me, I want to support TF2 community mapping more then anything.

if you buy on day 1 you can make a profit on your drops because theyre all expensive in the first couple weeks
if you buy late you get it cheap sure but you wont make any money back on drops

Looks like Valve's desperate to sell these things. I haven't seen nearly as many people with that contract pass thing in front of their name on the scoreboard as I've seen with Gun Mettle, where I literary was the only person to not have them.

More likely they realise that pimping them out and selling them cheap is the ONLY way to get anyone to make any purchases with only a month left, so why not?

I don't know about not buying the passes on Day 1, every single pass I have is Gold (Or Hale's Own on the Invasion Coin) and I enjoy the Contracts, Also I've made profit on all of them, getting cases quickly and selling them for $$$.

I'd buy the passes 50% off, then donate the left over money directly to the map makers.
I bet they'd get more money that way.

Valve should add another bonus that only pass-buyers can get, to make the next campaign sell better. At this rate no one is gonna buy the next pass because all the weapons and cases become dirt cheap within a week.

that's exactly why people buy them early tho, people make money off the drops in the first week since they sell for a ton

With the money you save, you could always buy Strange Filters or Map Stamps to support the map makers.

I've noticed a lot of people are up in arms about this, but honestly I'm fine with it. Anyone who didn't want to spend $6 on a pass will have a reason to get one now and that's more money for the people who contributed to the update. It's only $3 difference, so I don't understand why anyone would be upset after already being able to do contracts for two months.

Thats the way everyone is spinning it, which I think is okay. I wouldn't necessarily be surprised though if we see maybe a new type of incentive come up in the next one, assuming there is another one.
