I know there are a stylized model in the downloads, I found them while working on my space map, but I'm thinking a bit more creatively, making them using vertex manipulation. any idea where to begin? (I'm thinking do four archs, rotate them to make a circle, then expand the edges into a square)

just a note, keep the square pretty small, and build it into a larger wall. something like this should always be func_detailed as it doesn't block LOS, and has a lot of angled faces.

    edit: woo 500th post!
