Throwback maps

    Hey guys! Currently i stared working on a series of Tf2 maps that are copies of maps from halo 3 on the xbox 360. I'v started on one or 2 of them but i was wondering if a group of you wuold like to help me with this project even further? Currently JAG (just awesome gaming, huge server) said they would be happy to host this series of maps for us.     I don't want to be the party killer,
    but maps from other games don't tend to have good gameplay, when they get ported to TF2.

    Yeah, Bloodhound is completely right. People attempt this sort of thing all the time, and it never ends up very well. Halo 3 has vehicles, regenerating health, grenades, and far fewer class-sensitive mechanics than TF2, as well as other major gameplay differences. They are entirely different games, and I think you'll find that this project will, ultimately, be a disappointment.

    I ment remake maps, not the game lol. I'm re-making the maps from the game, not the game and game interfaces its self. No veichles, no powerups, just the map its self

    They know Maddux, they weren't saying you were trying to recreate the Halo 3 gameplay mechanics. Just that a the kind scale/layout halo's maps have are not going to be good for TF2.

    That's the point. A map designed to play well in one game isn't likely to play well in a completely different game.

    copies will get you nowhere. adaptations however might

    I always thought Beaver Creek from Halo 2 would make a good map of some sort for TF2. Adapted, of course.

    Man, that looks like it would be awful for everyone except snipers and scouts, and possibly rocket/sticky jumpers.
