three bugs?

    Hi,

    I've had a couple of reports that on my gold_heist_canyon_B2 version my custom payload/truck is appearing either black or purple black squares - I have built cubemaps - any ideas?

    I have models in hammer but they are not appearing in game - is seems to me plant based in nature - any ideas why these types aren't showing up when the other static props are?

    Because my map it so huge, does anyone have any type of suggestion in helping players find their way to the battle without adding in more entities - I'm pretty close to the limit as it is and don't want to cause any edicts crashes.

    Did you pack the BSP?
    It seems elementary, but I forgot once and the same happened to me.

    You didn't pak the model(s) right

    You used the wrong prop type

    Make your map smaller. If you need anything other than arrow overlays to guide the player, you're doing it wrong.

    The plants, not showing up, is still occuring - as far as I can see there's no difference between them and other static props I have in the map i.e. bottle has got me scratching my head.

    As some of you know already - my map is HUGE and I have recieved some good comments, but I am running near entity limits - is there a limit to static props and if yes do they not appear in any particular order. Is there something else I should be looking at to see what the issue is - I can post screenshots if you need them once I get home.

    As per some feed back here (W.S. Wankhouse), I have rebuilt the payload - have ensured it uses TF2 textures (had an HL2 one on it - and most likely the probable cause of my purple/black issue).

    Have fixed the directional issues - by using some more decals.

    B3 - will be out in a couple of days.

    If you're talking about the generic brown bottles (the ones in 2fort for example) they need to be prop_physics_multiplayer to work. If you click the Info tab in Hammer's model viewer it'll tell you what types of props the model can be used as.

    Ok, have no idea what the issue was - chalk it up to hammer doing one of the weird things it does on occasion.

    I took one of my tracks shift copied - made it a shrub and it works - if you look at both the working/non-working item side by side there's no difference - I have replaced all pants now this way. - turns out it was a copy/paste causing the problem - they wouldn't appear - but if you shift copy they do - go figure.

    Anyone have the propper - propper configurations anywhere? I lost my setup when I had to reinstall steam - no when I try it's giving me a dll message - I have tried a couple of different ways now and no luck - it either won't or run the game - I think I've made the mistake at the compile process window. Just a link if possible thanks :)

    iirc, propper has been broken for a few weeks (since a week or 2 before H'ween)

    Thanks for the info re Propper!

    I'll switch over to other models for the B3 version since some people were having errors with my other cart.
