The Switching Maze [Mini-Map]

    So was a bit bored yesterday night so I thought I'll map the one thing that had been on my mind for a while. A CTF maze. Not only is it hard to find in this maze, but it also changes to a random maze each round. First team to reach 3 captures wins and the round restarts. But since its rather easy to capture the point, depening on the enemy, the next round will be completley different from the round you just played, bringing unique game experince.

    It's also on my server (ip in sig) as of now.

    In the future, could you avoid capital letters in the map name? I've heard that can possibly cause issues with some servers.

    Seems like you could just sticky/rocket jump on top of those walls and see the whole maze.

    I approve. I've been trying to do a decent shifting map design for weeks.

    You probably could, but I dont believe its a major problem.

    But snipers are bad in this map....and pyros too good :(

    Pyros maybe but snipers to have advatage in sertain areas.

    You could just make one big clip so that Demo/Soldiers don't get up there.

    Nice work! Moveable map segments will bring an entire new element to the game. I can't want to get in to check it out.

    Your map is now installed on the BETA TESTING FACILITY
    24 players : San Jose, CA, USA : 8.6.2.164:27015 : Beetlemod : MOTD

    If you want to bring some friends and do some play-testing, it can be easily loaded at any time by saying "votemap ctf_switchm". If you let me know a date you want to do some testing, I'll make it the only map in the rotation for that one day, so you don't have to keep voting it in to replay it.

    I'll try to keep the server updated with your new versions as you release them, but a PM will get much quicker action.

    Thanks a bunch. Thats so not selfish of you, doing that image :). I'll add the server to favs and try to drop by when I can. Oh I also added you as friend so I can easily find you and pm you.

    I think it went very well, except that we played the same maze like 3 times :p

    I really liked how the rounds played differently.

    The first (second, and last rounds) was your standard CTF map. Not as lame as 2fort, but more like Turbine.

    The Third round was totally different. Instead of your standard CTF map, it has now become a delivery CTF map (Bring 'your' intel to their base).

    Too bad we didn't get to play the third variation, but I have no doubts it was also very good.

    I know this was supposed to be a maze, but if the concept were to be applied to a real map -with signage-, it would be totally win.

    I approve of the separation of the Intel and the Spawn in both played rounds.
