The Maze

    This is my new/first map I have ever made. It is a CP map that takes 60 seconds to capture the point.

    There are 3 paths for both sides, one of them takes you to the point, another one is just a dead-end, and the other other one is a place where a demo-soldier can pipe/rocket jump up to it to get to the point.

    However on the blue side I added a place where you can rocket/pipe jump up to but it will only take you back around to the blue respawn.

    please give me any constructive feedback on the map.

    I haven't decided to release it yet in case it needs editing. If not I will post a download link.

    As owlruler said. Also i couldnt watch the video, anyway first maps are generally better kept away from the public. And second. Been there done that. They are learning experience and should be threat as such. Besides obvious lack of light theres lack of cubemaps. For some reason most mappers hate both issues. Lack of details and textures is far back. Both things are easily, just check tutorial subforum. GL with your mapping.

    K, here's a few things right off the bat:

    - It's fullbright.

    - It's WAY too tight, unless you meant to develop this exclusively for demos and pyros.

    - It's egregiously confusing to navigate. I know you're trying to create a maze, but either you chuck this together with the "silly non-serious maps for a niche audience" or nobody is going to play it. Just looking at the video for a few seconds gave me a headache..

    - Blu specifically has an advantage... Even if it seems arbitrary and small, people ill find a way to exploit it... Which isn't fun for red...

    Take out the hl2 texture, open the roof for a better feel, make it so there is only 1 finc_respawnroomvisualizer and clean up the red and blu textures as well. It could be a maze map, but if it were outdoors, composed of fences and shipping eqipment, and perhaps even a prop hunt I think it would add a lot to the map.
