So I am currently making a map that I began on another PC.
Not a single class that is just for TF2 (e.g. item_ammopack_medium) is in the dropdown list in the properties, all the Ammo and Health Kits are just labeled with the 'Obsolete' Thumbnail.
But in-game it all just works fine.

I guess the problem is that TF2 is installed in a special steam game library folder, not in Steam/SteamApps.

How can I fix this without reinstalling TF2 in the default gamelib?

Try validating TF2's game cache, It might help.

Also the word you're looking for is entity not class

I found the source of my problem. It's quite dumb, but I didn't put the path to the TF folder in Hammer. Egh.
    But still thanks.

Are you using the Hammer that comes with TF2, by the way? Or are you using the Hammer that's part of the downloadable separate Source SDK?

Yeah, 'cause no matter where TF2 is stored, as long as (1) you used Steam to put it there and (2) you're using the copy of Hammer that came with it, it should be detecting everything automatically. (3) Running hammer.bat might also be a requirement; not sure.
