Textures turning black ... bspzip

    I've recently made a level using custom textures i've been compiling using BSPzip and everything seems fine ....

    When my level loads all the textures appear correctly

    after about 1/2 hr of play some of them turn black ...

    could this be a problem with the vmt files ?

    they just turn black after map change or while playing the same level? sounds like a video card overheating to me.

    sometimes when I alt-tab and tab back in I have problems, but never black...jsut hte checkerboard

    did you use the prop value by accident?

    Textures that use the vertexlitgeneric shader will turn black in game. Make sure your vmt file says to use lightmappedgeneric instead.
