A single staged payload map, with 4 cp's (just like badwater basin. Maybe a bit too much alike). The map is most likely suffering from terrible sightlines due to the open areas. The whole map is open to the sky, with plenty of buildings serving as flanks. But only testing will reveal the truth! Still, I got a good fealing about this map! Current dev stage: A1. Technetium is a chemical element with symbol Tc and atomic number 43. It is the first element in the periodic table that all its' isotopes are radioactive. Nearly all technetium is produced synthetically. (source:wikipedia)
I am not a big fan of the ground textures as well, and I feel like making this into some different theme is a great idea. My plan for this map is to have it simple enough (unlike my previous maps) so I can easily change things. I want to choose the theme after I make a basic good layout, that way I can practice detailing without narrowing my choices (so I could make, for example, a haloween version without deleting too much stuff)
Advanced trigonometry usage in your map! And school math tests at the same time! What could be better? None of those..
I just deleted all files related to this map accidentally. Just wanted to let you know that all the things you see in the pics above- so they don't exist anymore. Farewell, my sweet beloved trigonometry! EDIT: But apparently I lied. There's the .bsp, right inside my maps folder! How did I miss that? Decompile, and BAM! almost as new!
Decompiling Aftermath Some things in hammer are bad They can really make you mad Other things just make you swear and curse. When you made a map and is about to release it But you accidently delete it Bspsrc will (try to) help things turn out for the best... And always look on the bright side of life Always look on the bright side of life If Bspsrc seems jolly rotten There's something you've forgotten And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing. (actually you didn't forget anything Bspsrc really is jolly rotten) When entities you have to recreate, Don't be silly, copy paste! Just purse your keyboard and start working - that's the thing. And always look on the bright side of life Always look on the bright side of life For source is quite absurd And also older than the world You must always face the crashes with a bow. Forget about the old 4th payload bay. No one liked it anyway! Enjoy it - it's your own map anyhow. And always look on the bright side of life Always look on the bright side of life... http://www.thebards.net/music/lyrics/Always_Look_Bright_Side_Life.shtml
