Hello, I am making a TF2 map based in tasmania, and I want ride-able trains in my map like in banana bay, but I am too busy with other things to make the models, and my modeling skills suck!
The models i need will be listed below, with pictures. I want these to be in scale with the other trains in TF2 (So it won't look weird using a TF2 flatcar and they won't be out of scale with the mercenaries) and would also like animation with the steam loco's if possible.
If you need more pictures, a good place to look is railtasmania.

Anyway the models i need are...

Problem is I don't have a credit card, or any way to pay people, and I don't have money, I could pay in TF2 Items but that's about it.

Just noticed that! (even though both are based on locomotives from the UK)

My advice would be to either:

A: get your map to a more finished state, around early beta, to show people that you are committed to the project and so that people can see what the models are needed for. This might give an incentive to a modeller to create said models if they know they will be put too good use rather than now, as there is no guarantee that you will see the project through to completion.

B: Look around for existing train models that fit closely to the ones you want, maybe check out the trains in the bulletcrops Project and the TF2 Emporium Vehicle Pack.

Thanks for introducing me to the vehicle pack, some of the cars in it look amazing! Anyway, A was always my goal, to get the map to a polished state and then get people to model. I posted now because I prefer to have all my assets and then start mapping rather then map, then wait for people to make assets, then map.

Well firstly this is directly self contradictory, secondly, the latter isn't a good way to go.

Im bad at explaining things, and secondly I have been using the latter way with mapping for games in the doom and build engines. I just map in the way I find most comfortable.

When it comes to games like this where layout and balance are often tricky to get right, and the vast majority of maps are abandoned before they can even reach a semi-finished state for one reason or another, it's best to ensure that you can at least get over that initial hurdle before expecting other people to do work for you. Nobody builds sets for movies whose screenplays aren't even finished, and certainly not for free.
