Strange Error after Unpacking my Map

    So I did a goof and accidentally deleted the vmf of my map. I managed to grab a BSP and rip it up and open it in hammer again and started to look around and noticed this happening all over my map. It also had several leaks that didn't exist prior to me ripping it open.

    I was going to spend an hour and do some minor fixes and then start texture work, but this turned out to be closer to 4 hours of me just smashing my head against a wall and nothing getting done.

    Little help guys?

    And you accidentally deleted the autosaves and the backup save too?

    Oh god, I didn't even know those existed and didn't even think about it. Thankfully there are several autosaves there. And they loaded up flawlessly! Greatly appreciated!

    Unfortunately decompiled maps aren't exact 1:1 of the vmf. They can introduce a lot of problems.

    Luckily you had backups!

    The backup save that Henke alluded to is the .vmx file in the same directory as your VMF.
