Hi. Im trying to make blackboard for my map with cp and whatnot. Similar to one on cp_steel. However it proves to be major pain in the butt. Im using one from steel copied over and change alot. I had to photoshop me some extra textures to work with 5 cp map.
I just cant get it all working well, most of the signs work but some appear at wrong times. IS there some sort of prefab or tutorial for that stuff? Also compiler started to spam me with errors for no reason :<

Ok after countless hours I've managed to make this work. So I'm happy to compile my map and upload another alpha! And then i see this:[IMG]
All blackboards are pitch f-bombing black. They are pretty much direct copy from steel, just changed accordantly. Ive tried looking at steel again but I dunno. It's definitely problem with lighting because i could see them with vvis only. Any help? Please?

Post your VMT for the texture. Or just compare it with the one from steel, you may have messed up a line in the shader.

Well I just copy pasted one from decompiled steel. Ive removed background from one of them and got this:

Most of the textures are from steel, with few custom. I have other custom textures but they looks fine. That looks like alpha channel. I dunno :/
Edit: Ive used background texture on normal brush and it looks fine. Is there some bug or whatever with func_brush entities and textures?
Edit2: Compiled steel from this forum... and blackboard is indeed pitch black. Awesome.
Edit3: WOOT! It works. Looks like the frame of blackboard casted that shadow. Even with light in front of it. Disable it and its all good.
