Source SDK & SteamPipe Quick Fix!

As per this thread except I run the .exe instead.

Done step 2, restarted SDK and double clicked hammer editor...

Also happens when launching common\Team Fortress 2\bin\hammer.exe

@Artificial. Something must have gone wrong when you modified it. You can try replacing it with my original gameinfo.txt file to see if that's the problem.

Tip: right-click and save link as file type "All Files (*.*)"

You can also try running the new SDK tools located in "common/team fortress2/bin" Just click on "hammer.bat". If you get any errors try running all the other bat files in that folder as well to insure everything is correctly setup.

I was a huge derp and forgot to include 211 after ToolsAppId, and I can launch hammer from the SDK just fine now.
Can't believe I missed it. :/

try re-installing. delete source sdk then download it again
