    OhmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmyGOSH

Ha ha, all their documents refer to it as "SOurce SDK". Oh Valve, never change.

The SDK launcher is going away?

Change is scary, I'm not sure how I'll live in this strange new world.

Has anyone had any luck actually getting the SDK to run on mac? I don't appear to have the bat files where they say they are.

EDIT: Is it just that mods now work on linux and mac?

Hammer and the associated tools are Windows only. OSX can't run Windows batch files.

This SDK release is just the skeleton code needed to make mods.

So between this and the SDK launcher being out of commission, what happened to the old process for creating "standalone" or "total conversion" mods? Because you used to be able to do that from the launcher, and now obviously there isn't one...
