I made a socket model with this ovelay as idea:
socket%20%283%29.jpg

So Muffin Man didnt want me to make a model for it...
but i ignored him and made a model for it.
and there's no reason to not use it because its only 60kB filesize.
Now with additional Red skin (still 60kB filesize if you only use 1 skin)

Is it possible to get a version with a little redish tint?

I like it, by the way. You should make a plug model as well. :O

Yeah, il be definatly making a plug model but so far i dont have much time.
another problem is the grid, since these models are really small they often cant be placed correctly when usen the grid, so ill have to look into that.
oh and i made a red-ish skin:
socket%20%284%29.jpg

Updated model to have a red skin, it still is 60kB if you only use one skin

Progress on the plug model

I have a few problems on that model. One being it shouldn't be it's own model, it should be part of the original. If it was two models, the props section of compile would fill up pretty quick. Also, I would do a more cylindrical plug, not on that looks like a stretched triangle. Also remove the prongs, that wasted poly's (assuming we will never see the prongs because it's plugged into the wall).

Exist, we might want the plug laying on the ground below the socket.

One thing, Steff, the ground on the plug is always longer than the live and neutral.

Make a plug model so we can use ropes to make cables run all over our floors!

What she said

Then I might decide to use it. This is a nice model and all, I'm still not convinced I need it in its current state.

EDIT: Oh, I missed an entire page somehow. Keep it up then. :p

You've posted a lot of stuff here... I would love to do the same, but for my life I can't get the textures to work on my models ever. I don't understand how the textures apply before the VTF.

Just make sure the texture applied has the same name as vtf in the moddeling (extension doesn't matter)
