OnLive is way to similar to olive. It's a one letter difference and because of it I cannot take it seriously.

    ...

    What.

Stuff like this never ceases to make me really angry.

At least this won't make it much of a competitor to Steam.

Well to be perfectly honest, this is one case where they have good reason. They need to have extremely good servers and connections set up for this service to work (provided the clients have a good connection too) so it's probably a much better idea to start off with one place. It's not like online radio places where it's just arbitrary restrictions because of the damnable record companies.

Only US? sucks to be anyone from anywhere else (like me)

I didn't think the idea was good when I heard about it ages ago, and I don't think it is a good idea now. Its just... odd. I'm sure it will be quite successful but hopefully steam is big enough for the two to not really clash too much, but who knows what will happen.

The service will probably be patchy and unreliable anyway for a fair while after release, so its probably best the US deals with that frustration before they try it on us. And if my logic is anything like accurate they'll reach out to Europe long before they do Australia, sorry Aly, you just live in the wrong continent for gaming. :(

It makes sense that it is only US. It would cost a lot of money to invest in global servers.
