it's been like that since the Pyro update
They have a lot of visual bugs that are still unfixed since long, long ago. I think the Pyro still reloads the Flare Gun after running out of flares, before putting it away, for example. Not to mention the sky in arena_well.
They're probably going to fix it a) never or b) in the next major update.
Or maybe they haven't noticed.
Loaded up TF2 to check and say "works for me" smugly but It seems it doesn't... D: I don't think its been broken as long as the pyro update though.

I don't remember how long, but I like seeing the pyro do that.

I'm still waiting on them to sort out the recently problematic swtich-to-the-class-I-just-switched-from bug and however they managed to screw up gibbing.
How did they screw up gibbing? I know that you don't always gib from explosions, but that is clearly intentional. Is there some other problem with gibbing?
First they broke explode and nothing gibbed anyone, then explode worked again but if you gib, every death after that you will gib (which is frankly odd when you get hit with a bat and gib).
I don't think they intentionally made rockets no longer gib people, but screwed something up (as they continually seem to be doing).
I still believe the occasional non-gib is intentional (most rockets still gib), but about the first thing you mentioned: I had no idea about that. Sounds really weird, I had never seen that before (most likely because I don't go around exploding myself at random >.>), but at least we can safely say that's a bug. I wonder how they managed to screw that up.
I believe that was mentioned in one of the release notes, "to stop server spam" or something
I've never seen this gib bug (though i was surprised to see people not gibbing from some explosions, which was cool). Nor have i experienced this pyro bug.. what happens?
The Pyro's animation is broken on the class selection screen. All it shows is the first frame.
If you use the hwm models, the pyro will animate
ahhhh thats why I normally see it happen! I have a keybind to turn them on which I hit most times, but when I opened TF2 to check I didn't hit the key.

lol, I have like a hundred posts in this topic, but here's a question for you.
What are hwm models? How do I use them? (and why?)
Those default to 0 (off). What they are is the special stuff valve use for the 'meet the' videos, the models have higher res faced and the vdcs inprove the animation quality of said models. You can't use one without the other, since the models and vcds are linked no facial animations will work unless you have both on or both off.
so on top of improving the quality of the facial animations (like adding wrinkles to the heavy's brow when he raises his eyebrows to shout) they also remove the rimlight that you see inside the character's mouths, which looks so terrible.
In normal gameplay you might just see the benefit of these once per round, but in the death screenshots they really come into their own.
The taunts seem to be broken for me too, but I don't know if others have this problem too.. The sound plays, the camera goes to third-person, but there isn't any animation.
