... because i decided i wanted to do some mapping for the first time in quite a while. I place my first platform and realised i had a default texture on it. Go into the texture browser "Filter: dev, Keywords: tf." 4 textures pop up. Could I be informed of changes that might have occured that I missed?

P.S. I guess i should note that this is the first time booting up hammer on a new computer so I should also keep in mind that there may be some start-up procedures I forgot and if this may be the case, then slap me across the cheek for it.
