I get the emotion you're going for with it, but it might help to have a little bit of a fill light on Soldier's face just so his weird normals don't hinder anything, if that makes sense?
Idk, I especially liked the light on his face in this shot. The background was something I wrapped my head around a bit longer. I just went with the 2 white lights overhead and saw it as the best result on this.
