    This is a TF2-styled remake of the classic "COD4" map, "Shipment".

    All 3 points are ALWAYS open to captures, by ANY team. Whichever team manages to hold all 3 points simultaneously, wins the round. If neither team has won after 20 minutes, the map enters sudden death mode.

    Great for fast, frantic, tug-o-war style capture point gameplay!

    All comments welcome.

    It looks nice , but i think those two points in the 3rd screen are too close to each other.

    thanks for the compliment, good to hear :)

    as for the control points, actually, all THREE are right next to each other there, we were really going for frantic back-and-forth action, not to mention sticking closely to the original COD4 map layout.

    Cranes look sweet, but I don't understand how the game works.

    Is it hold points for a certain time? Like every second you hold 1 CP you get 1 point, 2 CP = 2 pts, and like all 3 = 4 points?

    Or is it standard push in a very small map?

    Hi BagOfChips- good point, I'll update the description so this is more obvious!

    It's quite simple, really- all 3 points are ALWAYS open to captures, by ANY team. Whichever team finally manages to capture all 3 (and that's no easy task, but fun!), wins the round. If nobody wins after 20 minutes, the map enters sudden death mode :)

    Very nice sky box, but AHHH! SHIPMENT! That was enough of a spam map in COD4. TF2 couldn't have made the gameplay even better.

    But, it is a very nice looking, sexy map.

    IF you can make this map fun then it could be a good map, but if it plays like it does in COD4 then no one will play it. Also please tell me it has instant spawn otherwise it definitely won't be played.

    Thank you Mar and Icarus for the skybox and map compliments, great to hear that we have the aesthetic appeal! For our first map, we are definitely happy with the result, especially since Source can be very, very aggravating at times.

    There was actually more time put into the skybox alone than the main level area...ironically enough. The idea has been tossed around that the skybox should be scaled up into an actual level...haha.

    As for the COD4 map haters- give it a try!! We have had the map on public servers, tested on unsuspecting victims, and received only good responses so far. They COULD all be lying just to make us feel better, but I suspect not...:p

    Dare you to try it!

    Icarus- havn't played a KotH before, actually had to look it up even, lol- i'll look into that. Thanks!

    you have way too many cranes... its just wasting cranes with too many of them, as they are too near each other, by thinking of expenses of course, as i know you want it as realistic as possible.

    :D that is one heck of a detailed comment tarmo. diagrams and everything!

    Technically, you are correct. Would it disturb you if I said there actually used to be MORE cranes? haha...perhaps there could still be one less crane...perhaps...they look so pretty outlined against the sky! Uber realism wasn't a huge focus, this is TF2 after all, but we don't want the map to look silly.

    ohmy. even more cranes?! you can check how often you should put them by turning them opposite ways so the shafts face each other and check if they could pickup objects which they drop down. you also need to check if the crane can turn around, as in current situation they cant

    has anyone tried this map out for themselves yet? It can be okay with several people, really gets great with the full 32 players!

    also, any FPS/buggy issues?

    The second i joined and check it out on my computer only. My frames dropped too 30fps and massive FPS problems occured. (I have a 2.66gig quad with a 9800GTX and i have never witnessed more frame lag in my life) Net Graph 4 Went spastic.

    This map would be better as an arena map given the size.

    Also Spawning out in the middle of the open is irritating to anyone joining the map for the first time. Especially when people have set up sentry guns by the time they'd join mid game.

    Some of the sprays felt very out of place during the game, but the overall play was somewhat enjoyable and rather chaotic. Since the bushes were almost covering most players, I actually ran around attacking my own team mates until I realized what color their clothing was.

    Sniping on this map is tough with the random spawning positions. Since players were popping right behind the sniper.

    map looks beautiful without a doubt. even all the background and skybox.

    but there are 2 main problems. its too cramped for CP. you got to either make it arena or scale the open spaces up.

    on the technical side, i dont know waht it is but the frame rate is jsut fatal.
