I want my brush with a translucent texture applied to cast a shadow based on the texture alpha. There is a topic about .rad file use to enable this on static props, but I can't find any clue on how to do it with brushes. SO far I've tested combination of flags on func_brush, light_block/nodraw applied on other faces, but vrad keeps ignoring those faces. Faking shadows with another technique would result in an ugly result. At the least, does any technique to partially block light exists ?
