Hello, I'm Isaak and I have a quandary for you all.

Right now I am working on my entry for the art pass contest and I have a hole
that I want to place the "props_well\main_entrance_door" and "props_well\main_entrance_door_frame" into.

The problem is that "props_well\main_entrance_door" has an idle closed animation and an opening and closing animation, but what I want is for the door to stay open permanently all the time.
(Just type in "main" in the model browser filter to see which door I'm talking about. Its the one that slides up on the track from cp_well.)

I tried my best to look up this subject already, found a bunch of other good info, but nothing on my question sadly.

Is there a way to, for example, set the "props_well\main_entrance_door" prop to display the last frame of it's opening animation in some sort of frozen state?

I would prefer for it to just be frozen on that last animation frame and not be animating with a very short timer or anything like that, but I will also take what I can get.
(Personally I don't think pictures are necessary, but if you guys insist I will post some.)

    Any assistance would be appreciated,
    Isaak

I think you can make it a prop_dynamic and use the SetAnimation command.

Or make it like a normal door, remove the trigger, and tell it to Start Open.

Thanks, I'll try those and get back to you on how it works out.

I'm looking at some SetAnimation command information right now, but I'm not seeing anything about how to set a specific animation frame, I'm thinking I'll go with the other method you mentioned.

    Thanks for the aid! :)
