i'm having some trouble getting it to start, can someone help me with it?
Specifics about your game mode would be nice, but for starters try Boojum's FUCKING AWESOME resource pack. Linky.
Most game modes (aka not KOTH) will use a team_round_timer entity as the timer. It has a built in parameter for set up time. Just be sure to add 5 secs. to whatever you're using to allow for that starting period where players can't move. This even works for multiple stages, as the set-up gets run at the start of each round.
KOTH uses it's own timer entity, called tf_logic_koth or something like that.
Or you could use that super-awesome resource pack.
team_round_timer starts paused by default. Just set "Start Paused?" to "no" in it's properties window

im also having trouble with one of my points now.
i havent had this problem before, but it wont unlock, even with the inputs it gets.
its index is different, and i didnt fiddle with the group index, and only blue can cap,
but it wont let blue cap...
Are you using Boojum's pack?
If not, then why not?
Do you have a capture zone set up for it?
