Rotating Turret?

    I know the title makes it seem like I want to make an Engineer turret that rotates, but that is not the case.

    I want to make an eight-sided turret (my friend is making a model. Until it's done, I'm going to use an octogonal brush in its place) that shoots in all eight directions at about the rate of a lvl 2+ sentry for a few seconds upon being activated by a button, then will turn off.

    Is there a way to make an entity or emitter or whatever that shoots hitscan bullets? It doesn't necessarily have to rotate, either. But if it's possible, it's good to know.

    You could look at the rocket emitters in any TF2 dodgeball map, that might help. I don't really know D:

    You could have 8 sentryguns. Or a trigger_hurt with the appropriate damage type set, but I don't think that this is a good idea in the first place.

    You could look at avanti. Maybe that will help. It uses non-tf2 turrets to protect the spawns.
