Right direction/Guidence

Okay, so finally I have a rig that's got a descent set up, main point in this thread is i've downloaded Max 2011, messed about, but i want to learn how to model well, and efficiently, can someone direct me to some good tutorials? Or are any of you fine fellows willing to offer some semi-mentoring if you are knowledgeable in the area, im hoping to aim to be able to model for TF2 if that helps.
