I'm in need of a custom intelligence model. A giant sapper, same size as the intelligence model. Should be able to fit snugly on Vector's final point's eye, while still looking natural on the flag carrier's back.

I can do it, maybe. No promises...tight schedule. :\

Don't let me keep anyone else from doing it, though.

(we should have a modeling contest, promote more modeling)

Uh, speaking of which, did you have any ideas of this giant sapper, visually?

    I'm not too entirely sure.

My first thought was just something that resembled the small sapper, except big. But then I thought it needed to fit onto the big machine, but the intel was way too small. So I thought if it had some clamps on it... (resembling a spider or something?).

It doesn't have to be a perfect fit actually, lol, it might add some humor, as long as it can stay on

    The objective is:
-To have the object instantly recognized (unique silhouette)
-To have it resemble a sapper or some sort of disabling device
-To look like it should be able to clamp onto the eye of the machine in some way

Actually, it might not even be feasible :p

k, even though i understood what it is, i didn't fully understand what you need now. it's a bit vague without some pictures of the place where it should be or how it could look like. maybe some more detail/references ?

Don't just do an oversized sapper, I think some sort of completely original device is what such a well done map deserves.

Maybe something borrowing from a floating-mine or HL2 rollerballs. Not so spiky someone can't hold it on their back, but obviously an angry little technobomb of some sort.

(Nay, it is clear that thou must use a model of The Eye, that you may then end the abominable plans of the Trickster and his pagan minions. Thou shalt take it within the accursed swirling Maw of Chaos, and place it within the very center of that taffer's work.)

It should fit into a round shape and have a unique silluette, and not be to big... I'll try something. (I want to try out the lisence the university bought :) )

Have it similar to the sapper in the way that it has those things that come out of it that encompass the entire sentry it saps. Like on a level three, it's wires are different then a level 2.

So you could have some type of thing that, when the flag is capped, spurts out some type of gripping mechanism, be it hooks that stretch to fit the nucleus prop, or be it suction cups that do the same.

I'm implying you use the nucleus prop, with just a different coloured spinny thing. Thus the modeller could use the nucleus prop for sizing.

Something i made in ~20 minutes (you can probably see that :p)

Not sure if I have time to make a better version ( I assume you want it in 13 days, 21 hours, 39 minutes and 20 seconds). But just something to give you (and someone that might want to make one) an idea.

It'd be funny if it looked really high-tech but turned out to be just a car jack which expands enough to brake the thing on the inside, or a car clamp. Sort of how like the Engineer does incredible things with just a wrench.

That said, is the wheel actually spinning, or is it just the effects within it moving?

Somehow I think of a combination between a gumball machine and and HL2 orbs. _______________ Another p...he objective" is relatively familiar to them.
