Model [Request] Redwood Trees in various sizes

    Well TF2 definitely needs more trees, and it would be great to have some really tall Redwoods to add to maps for some extra height

    I was thinking the trees could come in 4 sizes : Small (young tree, 512 units tall), medium (medium-age, 768 units tall), large (1024 units tall, mature tree), and Giant (1536 units tall, old tree)

    I know nothing about modeling, so I'm pretty sure I cannot make these myself.

    (... this is the correct board for this, right? :p)

    I dont know what you mean by redwood trees, but i'm making 3 types of trees: Oak, Birch and a Chestnut (?, not sure but in Dutch it's a kastanje)

    Should be done in ~week.

    yeah I think that tree might be a -bit- too big for tf2... :p

    I dont think so, it depends on it would be used. I mean it would definitly be fresh to see something like this in tf2 style.[​IMG]

    Ahahah. I remember back during the Swamp Contest when I had a giant tree. Made out of displacements. I ran out of time and couldn't submit it though D:

    If we had redwood trees, (really tall ones, like maybe even 2048 or taller) we could make a map suspended in trees and it would be awesome

    Indeed. You could do that trick that dustbowl uses and make the top half skybox or vise versa too.

    I attempted that, the lack of open areas did kinda screw up the gameplay. I didn't go very far with it, though, so I wouldn't know for sure.
