I was planning on using the sky_nightfall_01 skybox in a map but for some reason about halfway down the skybox fades to white, this is covered up by a 3dskybox in maps like Probed and Doublecross. If possible could someone make a skybox that does not have the white side and potentially a bottom side. Ideally it would fade into a grey for the bottom half of the sides and the bottom face of the skybox. Here is an example of the problem:

    Thanks in advance

Why not use sky_night_01? I don't think that skybox texture has that issue.

    Tried that before,

it has a similar effect but it is slightly less obnoxious than the white, the main reason is I would much prefer the starry night sky over the cloudy overcast one that sky_night_01 has.

The thing is that the horizontal line is exactly at eye level and it is very much expected that the horizon will be at that spot, if not even higher. It's not really realistic to have the horizon below that. Maybe if you are on a high building, but then the clouds would be too high as well.
Fixing this "problem" would be simply making the very bottom pixels of the .vtf the desired gray color.

At this point it's looking like just finding a custom skybox would be a better option or having some raised buildings or something behind the main play area to prevent horizon stuff from coming into play in the first place. Either way thanks for the quick responses and good information.
