How far has the humanity advanced in this field?
I guess this: http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=11564
I'm still confused as to why/when anyone would use a random generator except to dick around. In order to provide an actual solution to mapper's block it would, imo, have to have some preset windows, doors, large areas, small areas, etc. In which case you might as well look at other maps.
Its on small step for man, One giant leap towards TF2:MC edition.
im curious if there's already an algoritm set that can make an actual map that is closer to human-made maps than a bunch of blocks scattered in a box. preferably one that generates stuff instead of placing prebuilt pieces together like a puzzle.
There was a more advanced version made by another individual that actually made rooms and stairs, but as for getting them to form coherent structures, that's another story.
