    Proof of concept for a train gamemode for the upcoming End of the Line update.

    The video is not of the map. It's a demonstration of the functionality of the train.

    I know what it'll be like, gameplay-wise, but I have no clues about the layout (except for the very beginning, for RED) or how the train will look (I will model it).

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

    Firstly, do you have proof of being able to advertise it as a "map for the end of the line update"? I'd expect a concept of much higher quality / thought for such a big thing.

    Secondly, this idea has been done before and has never worked out seriously (unless you count ctf_convoy). The limitations of a train's shape are just too harsh. I've attempted to tie together several trains before for an MvM map but it just still doesn't work without being flat, unfun and boring.

    Hm, there's no jittering other than the shaking of the train (which I added) when I'm playing, I think it might be a thing with the demo. Or maybe the angle of the camera while the shaking is going on. I'll look into it though, thanks.



    Well, it's not official. What I mean is, I am making it as a contribution to maps that might be coming with the update. I've updated my description.

    The combat will not solely be on the train; it will be able to change paths and be sent off cliffs. The Sniper's camper will be drivable and will need to catch up with the train, too.

    Can you put up a download link? I want to use this as a prefab. I've been wanting to make a balloon race-style map with trains :)
