I want to make a room completely dark for a rave room.

    It keeps being lit.

    This is the room:

I've set up all the lighting for it to make it a rave but it's not coming out as i wanted.
is it worth using "BLOCK LIGHT" brushes and how do i go about it?

    yes.

It's completely sealed from the skybox.
It it worth blocking off the elevators and the ramps with a "block light" brush?

That looks fullbright, which means the map isn't receiving any lighting data.

Can you post your compile log?

If you want a room to be dark, just don't put any lights in it. You can also have the lights be disabled or killed via inputs/outputs.

I've now figured out where i went wrong and fixed it.

I just needed to put "block_light" brushes over the entrances to the lifts and the ramps.

Thanks for pointing in the right direction guys.
