Putting weapons on Player Models

    I have in my background a sniper on a hill with his van. I want him to use the aiming animation with a sniper rifle but obviously he currently does not have a weapon when adding the snipers model. I do have him doing the animation, which was an obvious part. I assumed it was something like using the Parent cvar but i guess I was wrong.
    Any info would be great, thanks.

    So is he doing the animation without the weapon in his hands?

    Looking at the animation setup in thundermountain there's a prop_dynamic sniper rifle with a name which is referenced by a point_template. Perhaps that's what's necassery to sync the rifle with the sniper.

    I found in Thunder Mountain the gun is not actually stuck in his hand at all. The sniper is simply using an animation where the gun looks to be in his hand, and the gun is just rotated correctly to look like it.
