Hey all, I'm working on the latest version of my map for the contest, but I've hit a roadblock that I can't seem to figure out what I'm supposed to do.

So I've put in areaportals to help optimize, and yes, none of the area portals leak into themselves/the areas the areaportals are touching are sealed off from each other.

However, each one is returning "Brush [#]: areaportal brush doesn't touch two areas" during vbsp.exe.

I've run this through Interlopers.net's checker, but all it says for this error is that the affected object may not work properly.

Even more strange is the pointfile for it. The line goes into one of the skybox brushes, moves back, and ends inside the same brush. (See attachment)

    Help!

Area portals need to close off an enclosed area completely.

Also make sure that you turn off details in the visgroups menu. Make sure there's no holes in the area you are areaportalling. Lastly, make sure the size of the area portal is equal to or smaller than the width of the wall that surrounds the doorway.

Turns out I had 1-unit gaps next to some areaportals. However, even after fixing them it was reporting leaks, and then when I used visgroups to turn off areaportals, it was still reporting leaks without saying what it was, until finally I reset Hammer. Did a compile with everything on, and no errors at all. My only guess was that it thought I never edited the areaportals until the reset.
