Problem reflecting a skybox. HELP!

People !May be this post isnt new. My glass surfaces including water dont reflect surrounding world.There are emo squares(black and pink) instead. Some one told that there is a problem with HDR skybox but im not so experienced to fix this.

PLEASE HELP!

What you need to do is place env_cubemap entities around your map, usually 1 in each distinct area. and near reflective surfaces, about 64 units off the ground is typically good (eye level). Then run these commands:

-load the map
-mat_specular 0
-buildcubemaps
-disconnect
-mat_hdr_level 0
-map <mapname>
-buildcubemaps
-disconnect
-mat_specular 1
-mat_hdr_level 2
-reload map and enjoy

This will use the env_cubemaps as places to take snapshots of your map from, which it will use as reflections, getting rid of those pink and black checkers.

thank you for attention Altaco. of cource it is easier to post a link than explain me. I used cube maps but they didnt work. and actualy i was asked about default reflection (like in water)

There goes your Signature again Cameron, being useful. We really need to publicize Cubemaps as most people think that placing an env_cubemap fixes it..
