Portal 2 Ported Foliage - Various foliage models i ported over from Portal 2 to use in TF2

Contains various Foliage models (mostly vines) from portal to that can be used in TF2
i wouldn't reccommend using them if you want to have extremly good performance, as they can be quite demanding

Is it legal to use these in TF2 maps? Since... you know... they're from Portal 2...

    Hmmm, lets see.

Use models from a Valve game in another Valve game.

    I think you're good.

Valve are perfectly okay with you using their assets for any free project, whether it be map, poster, machinima etc. Hell, they pretty much encourage it.

Thats why they just take maps from the workshop instead of paying the creators.

    Wait, no, hang on

They don't pay for the initial map. However they use the good ol' stamps and filters to generate some revenue to the map maker. I don't care much about the money though, doing this for fun and spending time when I got nothing else to do. Fine, money is nice

No, this was sarcasm. What I was trying to say is that valve is actually very respectful of the rights of the content creators.

Wait, so Valve's ok even if it's from a paid to f2p game?

Playing a TF2 Map with Portal 2 assets =/= Playing actual Portal 2

Still, when buying (in this case) Portal 2, you're paying for each little element that's included in the game. That of course includes the foliage models.

So someone who technically paid for that model vs. someone who's getting it for free via a TF2 map, is kind of unfair ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But anyway, who am I to judge Valve...
