Oh very cool. Right now I'm working on a TC map though :( Still, very very tempting.

Naming requirements of slapping their tag on it turns me off terribly.

Also, read the terms and conditions, I'd rather host my map myself than submit it to a contest for it not to win and me to be all like "Aw man, I didn't win." and then them still send all my personal info out into the world wide internets and me be an even bigger loser.

I think eventually, not now though, we should hold our own contest, maybe ion a few months when everyone is more familiar with Source and TF2 mapping. Is anyone else noticing a horrible trend in people making huge, wide open maps that are... not fun at all?

So they would literally mail me two Franklin's and a Grant?

Unless it's $250 Canadian. Then, it would be two Franklins, one Grant and one Hamilton.

one month... to create a professional map.

    *Sigh*

It took me 4months to complete my (horrible) TFC maps. And im new to source! I don't know a think about HDR, or any of that fancy lighting...

I guess the tutorials are going to become very, very helpful soon!

The 1 month duration of this contest ensures most maps will either be rushed, partially incomplete, or simply a map already released and then renamed (oddly enough this isn't against their rules)
