TF2-theme texturing. A lot of you seem to be really good at it. Me, I never mastered the fine art of making stuff look hand-painted with a computer. It's probably easier than it looks, though. I just need a push in the right direction.

So, those of you who do it, for models or otherwise, I wanna know — what programs do you use? Do you use custom brush sets? Are there any simple tricks I could put to use quickly?

I do have access to an entry-level drawing tablet (pressure sensitivity only), Photoshop CS2, and a reasonable understanding of how to use both.

What about if you're doing transition texture, like snow or dirt to wood and/or metal (or painted wood to non-painted wood)
