Alright, I fixed my first bug, then another one appeared.

Whenever I try to click it as a Game setting, it just stays as my Default, EP1.
And after I do that, the Text for EP1 lights up in a yellow box.

It only allows me to change to EP2 and EP1.

It doesn't allow me to change to TF2 or Counter Strike: Source.

    Ugh, help?

(For Source SDK by the way, not TF2 itself.)

    - reset game configurations from the SDK launcher. restart steam & launcher, try again.

    - refresh SDK content from the SDK launcher. restart steam & launcher, try again.

    - With the launcher closed, verify Integrity of Game Cache from steam (rightclick, properties > local files) of both the SDK launcher and TF2. restart steam & try again.

    - With steam closed, delete steam.dll and try again.

If all else fails, call an exorcist.

Well, I have tried everything, and /NOTHING/ worked, I guess I will never be able to make a TF2 map ever..

;( So unfair.. Its always me with the big problems.

Wait for an update, might be as simple a fix as that.

Until then, just keep on trying again and again... hopefully someday it'll magically work, stuff has a habit of doing that.

I've read elsewhere that just running TF2 then exiting & then trying the SDK may work (steam forums).

    Go to steam/steamapps/<username>/sourcesdk/bin/orangebox/bin
    Open the file called gameconfig.txt
It is probably really short, this is bad.
Go to this file I have uploaded and replace the contents of gameconfig.txt with it: http://pastebin.com/jpJd660h
Replace any instances of <<PATH/TO/USER>> with the path to your steam account. For older accounts this is a username, for example if your steam login name is MyLoginName the path your should use might look like:
    C:\Program Files\steam\steamapps\MyLoginName
For newer accounts it is typically your email address:
    C:\Program Files\steam\steamapps\MyLogin@MyEmailhost

It is important you do this correctly, in a program like WordPad or Notepad++ you can easily use a Replace All to find <<PATH/TO/USER>> and replace it. MAKE SURE NOT TO PUT A SLASH AT THE END OF THE PATH YOU REPLACE IT WITH.

If that doesn't work your probably screwed. Or not in Source 2009.

alternately you could try deleting your entire /steam/ folder with the exceptions of steam.exe and /steamapps/ (where the actual games are). This is a solution that steam support gives for many problems
