This is my entry for the contest, its a normal CTF map. Not much to say at the moment, progress is good!

Nice lighting, only the tube with the intel seems to have a really low ceiling.

Thanks alot :D the tube is actually hollow but it dosnt show in the picture, gonna change the glass to a lighter one!

damn u 'bout the avatar :p saw you have it like 5 min after i changed to it, didnt have the strength at the moment to change it back then ;) gonna do it sooner or later

  • welcome point
  • changed environmentsettings
  • remade ALOT, only the spawn and the intelroom is the same
  • made som changes in the spawnrooms
  • added a railing to the balcony in the intelroom
  • added a few minor things in the intelroom
  • fixed a few visible nodraw's
  • teamfilter to the spawndoors
  • added areaportals

Norma isnt dead! Been detailing a bit around the middle, in the spawn and in one of the side areas.

a3 is coming soon people! :D



(crappy screenshot quality, forgot aa and getting strange reflections in the spawn...)

Alpha 3 released 10/02/10
  • detailed some parts
  • more cubemaps
  • added some basic hint optimization
  • added a env_sun
  • made the spawndoors faster
  • alot of clipping


even got a chance to squeeze in the novint station :D

the 2 spwn doors are linked, and it seemed a bit hard to capture the intel with our number of people.

The slope down from the spawn (not the one straight to the intel room) is rather dark. Would've preferred that it has a better lighting.

There were white lines below the train bridges (map's center) which ABJ said is some water issues.

This 'fake exit' looks rather real if we somehow missed out the real one. A few of us actually thought we'd be able to exit from there.

thanks alot for the feedback :D fixing the doors and the dark slope right away, and ill see what i can do about the other stuff!

Anything else that came up at gameday?

Alpha 4 released! Better late then never!
  • fixed the linked spawndoors
  • detailed more
  • changed the small health in the middle to a medium and the small ammo to a large ammo
  • added a medium health and medium ammo in the side rooms

Still having som trouble with the water in the middle, dunno whats causing it, anyone got any suggestions?

Beautiful map, played very well. The only thing about the graphics is that the shadows are very ugly, especially noticable around the spawns. Also, there was apparently water under the bridge, because I could hear it and douse flames in it, but it's almost invisible.
