I have a question: If you post a thread about a new map you made that is still in its early stages before a contest had started, and you have a download link to it. Can you still use that map in the contest? even though it could have gotten feedback and help from this community to aid in its development? I haven't participated in a contest before so I'm not quite sure how map submissions work and what is required/what's not.
