New To Mapping

    Yo i just started mapping about 5 days ago and first i want to say that this website has helped me a lot. but the reason i am posting is to ask is there any way to make a corner round instead of just a regular 90 degree corner. i am making a map with the dustbowl texture and i want to make turns that are more round then sharp. it kind of hard to explain but if u know what im talking about it would help me a lot. thanks

    Well you will never get a 100% smooth corner, but you can make corners from multiple brushes. So for 1 corner you make for example 3 brushes, and you use the vertex tool to align them.

    If you want them to look like rocks, you can use displacements, but ONLY create a displacement on the sides you want your rocks.

    If you don't get this I can make something in paint for you. Just think logically :)

    I think the easiest method would be to create an arch. You can slice off the top half and flip it, giving you a pretty nice corner.

    ! Arch tool = death by DJive !

    its up there with the carve tool =p

    To make a nice round corner use displacement or cylinder tool and clip tool
