    Hide and Seek map.

    Blu team has 1 minute to hide (Best off choosing spy on Blu team). After the one minute, red has 15 minutes to find and kill all of blue team. If a blue member is killed, they are taken to the jail, where they will have to escape through a maze and then wait for a blue member who is not in the jail to open the main gate. The play area is the capture area for the single CP. should all blues be off the play area, red will be able to capture it. once the 15 minutes are up, the red respawn doors close. (This was the best way I could come up with to stop RED from having 100% wins)

    Pretty crap map tbh, but hopefully the game mode is fun.

    Will want to check this out some time...sounds like it could be interesting with friends.
    I'm interested in the hide and seek mode where all blu are automatically spies, all red are automatically engi, and when you die on red, you become a blu spy.
    Kind of like zombie panic, I suppose.

    yeah. i know that somewhere, someone's made a serverside mod for a zombie tf2 game. Zombies are either heavies or scouts and can only melee. blue team can be any class (I think), but have very limited ammo. I think the plug in is called Zombie Fortress.

    I played alot of rounds with a low number of people (Maxing at 3 per side) and unlike most tf2 maps, it works well with the low numbers, especially with good communicational skills

    Yeah, I've play a couple of the ZF maps, it was alright, kind of hectic though.
    I don't think a mod has been created yet for the mode I was talking about, which would actually play a lot more like zombie panic. Think about it, you are a red engi, and all you see is 10 other red engies. It's kind of creepy.
    I was on a server once and we just manually had to do it or get kicked. It was a lot of fun after the admin actually explained the rules after kicking me a couple times for not knowing what I was doing...

    Anyway your prison variation on hide and seek sounds like it would really require team work. Just hope that the last person on blu isn't a griefer...

    When I played on a pub server (this was before the playing as a small group), not many people got the idea that you had to hide, so they often choose classes such as heavy ect and then ended up dead, meaning I was the last person on the team, then they realised that they had to go spy when we were explaining. so, although greifing may be a problem, provided you have one player well hidden, the game could theoretically last until overtime is over.

    when playing on the a server with few people, it actually enforced team work, where we would relay between team mates status updates, saying that we either just died, or needed the button pushing, or that were being chased. Which was the desired effect that I was hoping for, as well as this, Because when using cloak and disguises, it does not stop them from capturing, it kinda makes the cloak and disguise a universal resource, because if you all to use it at once, the other team would capture and win

    Anyway, hopefully, I'll ask my friend and server hoster to pop the server and map back on again today to have more fun with playtesting :p

    Quick thoughts after playing the map the other night:
    This is a really fun concept. I think playing with a couple more people could make it better, but this style of play could definitely find its niche.
    Over all layout is pretty simplistic in nature, which is nice for this game mode. That underground passage way you guys talked about adding from the prison would help prevent spawn camping and create interesting game play.

    The maze is a bit confusing at first, might want to explain that better, although I could see it being really funny when nubs get shot down by the hidden sentries.

    Well. At the moment, we know the map works with fewer people (e.g. 2 per team its possible for blue to win). But. when it gets more than that it becomes too hard, which is why we wanna reduce the time down to about 5 minutes. I would like to try it with more people though (E.g. 14 players).

    Anyway, though interested for a match, I've borrowed a friends server and I'm currently hosting this map 24/7 (More maps will be added on when I can)
