Need help with a BBall map

    I'm making a Basketball map, my first map, and I want to reuse the goals from ctf_ballin_sky. If I copy them out of the decompiled map, they appear invisible on mine in game. In the original map, the pole is visible and the backboard has a flickery texture over the "2D skybox" texture. Neither of these appear in game, even if I replace the 2D skybox texture with another. The pole is completely gone. The only parts that appear in TF2 are the hoops. The pole and backboards are still there and you can collide into them, but they're invisible. Can anyone help me on this? I've included screenshots of a goal in my map and in the original. http://imgur.com/a/x9ARD

    Have you considered asking the author for the assets that you forgot to extract?

    This might seem silly but you're selecting the whole thing when you copy right? There's nothing overlapping that you accidently missed?

    My only other thought is that it's an invalid sold being removed on compile / .vmf load. Get any weird errors with alt+p in the editor?

    Turns out I didn't actually select the pole model inside the clip box around it, and the backboard did have two overlapping pieces for some reason. I moved it over, but for some reason the straight part of the pole and the little fitting piece between it and the backboard, while they are visible in Hammer, don't show up in game, although the rest of the pole does. I would include screenshots, but imgur doesn't seem to wanna upload right now. That part is still solid in game.
