I've been using Hammer for quite a while and i have an error i'm not quite sure how to fix:

While compiling a TF2 map, Hammer and the compiler itself stopped responding and crashed seconds later. I then tried opening hammer and was surprised with this:

As you can see, the 3D view seems fine, but the 2D views have only pink and light blue colours. The crosshair in the 3D view seems to be pink as well, and i can't manage to fix it.

This has also affected my TF2 in a weird way:

It appears to happen in all maps, and there is also a weird light glitch on the bottom right corner of my screen.

Thx for reading and if someone knows if there's something i could do please tell me.

This is happening due to missing game files. As Dr. Orange said, verify the game's cache. This most likely happened when you had Hammer active when TF2 updated itself.

Thanks, but what do i have to look for in the game's cache folder? I only found some random files from maps and stuff i've downloaded before: http://imgur.com/kEzksbm

PS: Will it fix the problem if i reinstalled Hammer and/or Team Fortress itself? Due to the missing data between the two.

Verifying the game cache is a process done through Steam. You can find it by right-clicking a game in your library, clicking Properties, and navigating to the Local Files tab. It's essentially the same as reinstalling TF2, because it checks for missing or corrupt files and replaces them if necessary.
