    looks very nice! from what I can see on the screenshots though! I'll fly through it later when I can see the bsp, and when I have my new PC: next week! :D

    Looks good, but maybe long ways to go to the cp (*CLICK*)

    The name:
    cp_ruins
    ....change it if you want the detail like it is now.
    ....don't change it if you make a broken pillar or so ;-)

    I've searched some Egyptian temples and found this:

    -Luxor
    -Amon
    -Heliopolis
    -Karnak
    -Nefertar

    Anyone got suggestions?

    Been to Luxor and it doesn't look like that :p

    But names for egypt-maps is a problem though, I'm also working on an egyptian arena and can't seem to come up with a good name for it. Was also thinking arena_temple but it feels to simple.

    Sorry, but this map looks way too gigantic to be playable. A pyro would get blasted to bits in seconds.

    Wouldn't advise naming it Temple. Makes oldies think it's a remake of Goldeneye's classic multiplayer.

    yea ruins isnt going to fit it now :p but i might use something else... so if u want ruins then u can have it

    - Decrease sight lines

    - add more light

    The map have potential, looking forward to see how it's gonna be in the end :)

    Good: ... it got a nice atmosphere I guess.

    Bad: If this was my map I would have deleted it and started over. It's oversized, got no cover, too dark, and very flat.

    The lighting is the worst.. I couldn't see which team anyone was on and I saw a lot of other people shooting their own team out of confusion. The capture point was never an option since it was equal to suicide to try and cap it.

    The class balance is way off too, sniper and scout are far better choices than heavy or pyro.

    As I said, It would probably be easier to start over (you can keep name/setting/theme whatever) but make it fun for all classes this time.

    Alpha 5 is ready. ( I forgot to name it Alpha 4, but whatever... )

    So... I've added cover (probably need some work), light, water, cubemaps, respawnzones (not sure if needed, buts valve's got it) and two extra paths to the capture point.

    @Rav - If it's still bad after the next alpha, i'm pretty sure I will redo it.

    Just normal lights, no props or something. They slightly bright the map up, without noticing they are there.

    Is this what you referred? Or is this a bad way to do it? :p

    The water should never be 64 units deep. It looks horrible when you're standing in it. I'd say 40-48 would be good, depending on how deep will extinguish the player.

    I have to second that. Played the map on last gameday and it was impossible to notice the team color at long distances. I guess you should add some big windows to the walls to let more sunlight inside. Also I'd decrease the overall size of the map about 25 % and add some height variety (you could also add some outdoor areas if it's too small after reducing the size). Snipers and Scouts ruled the map. Good to see that you already added some cover.
