    More Vehicles - A (soon to be) collection of vehicles for TF2

    This is a WIP model pack that will eventually include lots of land, air and sea vehicles for TF2. The first release only includes one vehicle, mainly because I've gotten busy with projects started before this one and real life but didn't want it to rot away on my hard drive. Rather than wait till all are done to release, I'll update this download with each finished model.

    Completed:

    Station Wagon
    - 2 variants, one with interior and one without
    - 12 skins, red, blue, cream, black, white and green with and without wooden panels
    - 3 LODs for each model

    In Progress:

    Truck Cab and Trailer
    - Textures to completed

    Snowplough
    - Model to be completed

    Executive
    -Textures to be completed

    Helicopter
    - Model to be completed

    Fire Engine
    - Model to be completed

    There are many more vehicles to make, the ones above have the most progress. Please feel free to leave any suggestions, any mistakes or bugs that need fixing and criticisms, enjoy!

    Would it be too much to ask for rigged versions of the vehicles for SFM/Gmod use?

    Currently I've not got plans for rigged vehicles aside from the helicopter and other animated vehicles, but it's not out of the question. With the station wagon the doors are textured on and the interior is very undetailed so the model would need reworking for sfm use. I will keep it in mind though, after versions for mappers have been completed I might rig them up. Thanks for the suggestion

    Added the Executive, a fancy stylized urban car, and the not so successful competitor to the Chairman. Next vehicles will be the truck and snowplow. Please let me know if there's any issues with the download.

    So I've actually decided to make some changes to the Executive despite just releasing it aswell as wanting to retexture the station wagos tires, expect to see those changes alongside the next vehicles!

    Its been about a month since I've posted on this, I figured I might give a update on the upcoming models

    I've give the Executive a nice new look, extended it and bit and revamped the interior as well as a new texture.

    Also coming soon is the golfcart. I made it in the 72hr jam and am releasing an updated version with an extra skin and fixes, the original download wont be touched now so this will be the most up to date version upon release.

    The truck and trailer will be in the next release, I'm currently updating the model and texture to make it look better than before, then just have to make some logos for the trailer. Should be coming soon!

    Lastly, the snowplow. I have to redesign the actual plow and finish of the texturing, but its nearly done otherwise. It'll have 4 skins, pretty basic stuff.

    Your colors have really improved in the new vehicles, they looked a little mono-colored I feel before. The subtle brushstrokes you added in the newer ones adds a painterly feel to them, like other official models, really good.

    I would like to ask if you'd make this prop modular separated by truck & trailer. You could make more scenes and angles to place in the environment like this one:

    I've got some good news for you, the truck prop is split into a few parts. The truck cab alone, then the flatbed so you can put whatever you want on it, and then the actual trailer that slots onto of the flatbed. They all line up together on the hammer grid since they were made together, so its super easy to set them up how you like.

    Really awesome, I love modular assets. Seeing the trailer like this especially makes me excited to use it, thanks a bunch for your efforts.

    Its been a little while and after lots of fiddling and changes, I've finished the truck and trailer. This is a modular model with 5 pieces so you can pose the truck however you like. Info for the model is on the overview.

    Well hey now. I seem to recall requesting a delivery truck the same dimensions as the shipping crates some time back. Never imagined it'd finally happen after all this time. And I love the variety of logos you've included.

    ...Shit, this means I have to actually finish the map I needed it for, don't I.

    I always like looking for more ideas, I found the thread you've mentioned and found these designs

    I think I might Incorporate the army pickup into the gladiator design, and I think I'll make that box truck aswell.

    Alongside the vehicles listed in the descriptions, there's quite a few more on the way including:

    Tractor and trailer
    Assorted cars
    Skycrane
    Miss Pauling's car
    Scooter and motorbike
    Aerotrain
    Spytech Trailer
    Swordvan?
    Towtruck
    Bus
    Flight deck tractor

    Maybes its alot to take on, but I like the challenge. As always id be more than happy to hear suggestions for other vehicles.

    I'm not familiar, but ooh! What about the Spy's sportscar from the comic?

    Miss Pauling's car is briefly seen in the comics, some of it would have to be left to interpretation.

    I actually started spy's car. I found a Reddit post that appearntly found the real world make, which was this one:

    So that one should be appearing some time down the line. And finally for the bus, Krazy is already making that specific model, so if I do a bus, it'll be something a bit like this:

    I've also had thoughts of an army truck, but since there's already 2 made I dunno if it's worth making. I'm also trying to decide whether to release my long nosed truck cab since it's similar to asg_aligators truck cab. I'll have to get some opinions.

    The Nash Metropolitan is currently low priority, but the Badlands pickup will be made soon with a mixture between the pic and this Chevy

    I mostly work on what I feel like doing in the moment, so some models might come further on down the line than others.

    On this episode of more vehicles, I've added the golf cart from the 72hr jam. I've removed the golf bags so I can be used for more than just golf. I fine that the demo's golf bag cosmetic fits on the back nicely.

    Also I've done a few changes to the truck cab, and given it an army skin, so that all cool.

    Looks like an amalgam of early-'60s Fords to me. Mostly Falcon but with the double headlights of the bigger models.

    There should be an update coming to this soon, but before then I'm just putting out an little announcement. As of the next update all models will be in a new subfolder of props_vehicles to avoid any conflicts with other models. To get the most up-to-date versions I'd suggest deleting the fgd5_more_vehicles from the custom folder and extracting the newest one in its place. Thanks again.
