A simple CTF map meant to tackle the flaws of traditional CTF in TF2.



Features
-Security doors: Close access to the intelligence room flanks for 10 seconds after each capture to help reduce chain capturing
-Mercy Rule: If a team leads by 5 or more, the enemy intelligence is disabled for 30 seconds upon capture (does not affect publics with low capture limits)
-Very fast paced, reduced spawn timer
-Short intelligence return timer
-Respawn with significantly separate exits, none in the path of the intelligence
-Several viable attack routes
-Bases that aren't deep and intricate that result in stalemates

In other news, I think you might want to get some lighting to the upper reaches of the map seeing as a rocket jumping soldier or flying demo will be invisible up there in the dark.

[Map Update] CTF_Mercy_a3

Update to Alpha 3! Fixes gameplay after competitive testing.

A3 CHANGES/FIXES:
-Middle health packs combined to one medium and placed in the middle center column, newly hollow
-Spawns have windows to see potential threats right outside the spawn easier
-Flag return time now 12 seconds, up from 11
-Far route into the base now has a 1-way door. Still 3 viable ways out with the flag including front door, battlements, and behind the flag

would love to get more playtesting but the gamedays here are at an awful time for me (12 est, lunch time)

If anyone plays let me know, record a demo, anything is helpful. I've done some comp games but I'd enjoy other perspectives.

Since schools just starting up and im kind of bored of half of the remakes that are sneaking into this contest i'll try to get a pug going whether its from people in here or from 2f2f whatever.

myself and nine want to test out the new tf2m 6v6 servers and get tf2lobby some more testing. I'll get you a sourcetv as well. ;)

Since alpha graphics are never fun and alphas in general are very boring (not to mention we have 50+ of them around here), I decided to start detailing since my playtests were showing good things.

Main screens updated. The new version isn't quite ready though.

[Map Update] CTF_Mercy_a4

Update to Alpha 4! I've worked on the visuals of the map and it has come out of its "orange" phase and is starting to look like a real map. It's still in alpha, so any aspect of the level is still subject to change. Your feedback is important!

A4 CHANGES/FIXES:
(Still in alpha, anything can change)
-Major visual additions, much of the detail in the map has been added
-Flagroom tweaked slightly so the engineer position isn't quite as powerful
-Some optimization added
-Most clipping added
